The stapler places two triple, staggered rows of titanium staples and simultaneously the knife divides the tissue in between. The instrument is designed for multiple use during a single surgical procedure: it can be reloaded up to 7 times for a total of 8 applications. The cartridge contains 32 staples of 0.21mm diameter titanium wire arranged in two, double staggered rows 32.5mm long. The staple length is 3.5mm before closure and the height is approximately 1.5mm when closed. The preformed staple leg is a specific length; however, the height and shape of the closed staple may vary according to the tissue thickness. Shaft rotates 360 degrees, providing accessibility and ease of use. Titanium staples minimizes CAT Scan and MRI distoration. 2.0, 2.5 and 3.5 loading units can be used in the same instrument, providing ease of use and cost savings-Do not have to open two instruments.
